Published Work Involving WCR Investigators Cited in Later Research

Published ulcerative colitis and obesity studies involving Dr. Lucky Flores and Dr. Gustavo Albizu appear in later research references, including 2026 reviews.

Published work involving Wellness Clinical Research investigators continues to appear in the references of later research and scientific reviews.

This October 2026 review highlights citations of earlier ulcerative colitis work co-authored by Dr. Lucky Flores and Dr. Gustavo Albizu, and of obesity research in which Dr. Albizu served as a study investigator.

Ulcerative colitis research in later reviews

The January 30, 2026 Frontiers in Gastroenterology review of emerging ulcerative colitis therapies includes a reference to the 2023 Gastroenterology neihulizumab abstract. Its reference list names Flores L and Albizu-Angulo G.

The 2022 United European Gastroenterology Journal review, Landscape of New Drugs and Targets in Inflammatory Bowel Disease, also cites earlier neihulizumab research naming the two investigators. These references place their co-authored work within a broader discussion of investigational therapies.

Obesity trial evidence used in later scientific discussion

A July 2026 expert consensus on the safety management of incretin-based obesity therapy references the SURMOUNT-4 publication. Its reference entry includes Gustavo R. Albizu Angulo among the study’s investigator collaborators.

WCR has already covered Dr. Albizu’s SURMOUNT-4 investigator participation. The additional milestone here is the use of that published trial as a reference in later scientific discussion.

Keeping the contribution clear

The neihulizumab abstract credits Dr. Flores and Dr. Albizu as authors. SURMOUNT-4 credits Dr. Albizu as an investigator. The later reviews were written by their own author groups and reference those earlier publications.

For sponsors and CROs, this offers another way to follow the publication record associated with an investigator’s research experience. The original studies and their subsequent citations can be reviewed directly through the sources below.
